CALL FOR ABSTRACT

The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit their abstracts for consideration and inclusion in the program as oral presentation or poster.

Please note that only ELECTRONIC submission will be accepted. Faxed or emailed abstracts will not be reviewed.

PREPARATION OF YOUR ABSTRACT

  • Abstract must be submitted in English.
  • The material in the abstract must be original and not previously published.
  • The use of commercial drug names, brands and registered trademarks is strictly prohibited. Drugs should be referred to by the active substance or pharmacological designation, we kindly recommend to use generic names. No mention of pharmaceutical company names should be included in the abstract either.
  • The size of the abstract is limited to 3.000 characters (title, body of abstract, spaces, tables and graphics included). The submission program will automatically calculate the size of your abstract and will not allow submissions that do not fit in the size requirements.
  • Structure your abstract as following:

TITLE

The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to clearly indicate the nature of the study. Abbreviations must not be used in the title.

BODY

It should be composed by:

  • Introduction & Objectives: A sentence describing the purpose of the study
  • Materials & Methods: Describe your selection of observations or experimental subjects
  • Results: Describe your results in a logical sequence
  • Conclusions: Emphasize new and important aspects of the study and conclusions that are drawn from them

The authors have to specify if they wish the submission to be presented as:

  • Poster presentation only
  • Oral presentation only
  • Poster or oral presentation

Please note that the Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision concerning the form of presentation.

Submission of an abstract implies that it has been approved by all listed authors and constitutes consensus to publication (e.g. Workshop website, programs, other promotional material, etc…).

FORM OF PRESENTATION

POSTER

Abstracts selected for posters will be presented as posters during the Meeting and will be available for viewing in the poster area.

ORAL PRESENTATION

Abstracts selected for oral presentations will be presented during the Meeting.

Presenting authors will receive all technical information and instructions prior to the Meeting in order to ensure the smooth running of sessions.

Computer projection facilities (for PowerPoint presentations) will be available in the meeting rooms.

SELECTION OF ABSTRACTS AND NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision concerning the form of presentation.

Notification of acceptance will be sent to the submitting author by 13th April 2018.
Please note that only the submitting author will receive email concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing all co-authors of the status of the abstract.
Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will receive instructions for the presentation of their abstracts or for their posters realization.

Please note that at least one author of the abstract should be regularly registered.

BEST POSTER AWARD

During the Meeting, the Poster Commission, composed by Prof. R. Grimalt, Dr. C. Higgins, Dr. M. Starace, will select the 3 best posters. The winners will be announced during the “Prizes and Awards” session, scheduled on 20th May 2018 at 12.25, and will be invited to participate at the 11th World Congress for Hair Research (WCHR), to be held in Barcelona, Spain, on 24th-27th April 2019:
1° Award: Registration and accommodation at the 11th WCHR
2° Award: Registration at the 11th WCHR
3° Award: Registration at the 11th WCHR

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

Registered participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance in their Congress Kit.

EACCME EUROPEAN AND ITALIAN ECM ACCREDITATION

EACCME EUROPEAN ACCREDITATION


The 18th Meeting of the European Hair Research Society, Bologna, Italy, 18/05/2018-20/05/2018 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 12 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

ITALIAN ECM ACCREDITATION

The 18th Meeting of the European Hair Research Society is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Health for Italian physicians, biologists, pharmacists, for a maximum of 500 participants with 3,9 credits. Educational Outcome: epidemiology – prevention and promotion of health with acquisition of technical and professional notions. Only participants attending the 90% of the scheduled program will obtain the credits.

The Trichoscopy Course is accredited by the Italian Ministry of Health for Italian physicians, biologists, pharmacists, for a maximum of 100 participants with 4 credits. Educational Outcome: appropriateness of health service, system of evaluation, test and improvement of efficiency and efficacy. Only participants attending the 90% of the scheduled program and pass the final test (75% of answers must be correct) will obtain the credits.

AUDIO VISUAL REQUIREMENTS

Presentation should be done in PowerPoint. Speakers should express any special needs in advance.

Access to the session rooms

Seating is regulated on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend you to go to the session room well in advance of the session. Due to safety regulations, the organizers will close the access to the session if all seats are occupied. Delegates are not allowed to stand in the aisles of the session rooms.

Photo-video-audio-recording of the Meeting is not allowed.

EHRS General Assembly

EHRS General Assembly is scheduled on 19 May 2018 from 17.30 to 18.30 in the Meeting Room, only the EHRS members who have paid the 2018 annual fee can take part to the Assembly.

IMPORTANT: Children under the age of 15 are not authorised inside the Congress centre (exhibition hall, sessions, etc.).
